Family
By: Camille Budlong and Miguel Leh

For me, there is no such thing as a perfect family. All families have different problems that occur in their lives. The role of the family in forming my identity is that they are the ones who help me choose who I am and Who I am going to be. I observe that the family ties in Afro-Asian context is that they are very close to each other like they always find time to be together. My Ideal family would be close to perfect because we will stick together, solve problems together and always be together.

I always had an Ideal family who would stick together, solve problems together and always be together. The ways my Ideal family will stick together are even faced with problems, we will still love one another, we will be considerateand we will pray and go to mass together. Second, we will solve problems together by talking about all our problems, be understanding and being honest and truthful. And lastly, My ideal family will always be together if we will always be in contact with each other, find time to be together and to celebrate achievements with each other. If we will do all of these ways, my family would be surely close to perfect.

My family now would also stick together, solve problems together, and always be together. My family would stick together by finding ways for our problems to work out, being considerate and always pray together and go to mass together. We solve problems together by having meeting of our own, be understanding and being honest and truthful. And my family will always be together by always be in contact with each other, scheduling time to be together but sometimes busy and celebrating achievements together. These are the ways how my family deal with these situations.

Everyone wants to have a loving and caring family for it is one of the needed companions in life. The insight I learn from the comparison is that my family is close to my ideal family but some ways are still missing. I will not trade my family with some other families I know or think of because I am satisfied with my family for this is what I grew up and with and the problems that come to our lives make our bonds stronger. the family ties/relationships in Afro-Asian context are unique because it is not like the others for it is much more stronger. As I conclude my essay I would like to say and sum my essay up, that there are no such thing as perfect family because problems always occur but only close to perfect.
